: : skip to main skip to sidebar Monday , July 16, 2012 Day 199 : Sue Foley Shout out to my buddy Dave , who introduced me to Sue's music . Sue Foley Sue Foley was born in 1968 in Ottawa , Canada . Music was an important part of her life growing up- It was blaring out of the speakers of my older sister’s car radio , it was in my brother’s electric guitars , it was coming out of my father’s mouth when he’d come home from a bender and teach me old Irish songs and poems . Music and sound , yelling , fighting , crying , laughing , rock and roll , country . She began writing original material as a teenager , and got her break in music in 1990. It was then she sent a demo tape out to Antone's Records , whom she ended up relocated to Austin , Texas to work with . Her debut LP , Young Girl Blues'
